In my agency we often have to work our dogs for 6 or 8 hours at a time.  This isn't continuous there are some break between searches but it seems my dog gets uninterested in working or searching after a period of time.  We make small hides between searches to try and pump the dogs up but never the less they seem to just be tired. Any suggestions?

I feel your pain. Luckily we dont have to do the marathon searches every week. Cut corners when you can and plant frequent hides. Most handlers wonder why their k9 seems uninterested when entering those ''searches''  and its because they dont plant hides for them. There should be no more than 15 minutes between the planted hides if possible.

I'll try that every 15 min. And thanks for the reply.
